The Stock Market Is Booming And Most Nigerians don't Feel It?

Nigeria has officially become the world's best-performing stock market in dollar terms. That is good news, and I believe the government deserves credit for creating conditions that have attracted investors.

Has this success improved the daily lives of ordinary Nigerians?
For many families, life is still expensive. Food prices remain high, transport costs continue to rise, and small businesses are struggling with electricity and operating costs.
A strong stock market is important because it attracts investment and creates confidence. But confidence in the financial markets should eventually translate into more jobs, higher incomes, and a lower cost of living.
That is the success I want to see.
I hope this is the beginning of a stronger economy, not the finish line. Nigerians should be able to celebrate rising stock prices and feel the benefits in their own homes.
When both happen, that is when I will say the economy is truly working for everyone.
