Why Are We Importing Fuel When We Have Africa's Biggest Refinery?

For years Nigerians were told that the Dangote Refinery would change everything.

So why are we still arguing about fuel imports?

If Africa's largest refinery is operating, Nigerians should be seeing the benefits through stable prices, reliable supply, and less dependence on imported fuel.

Instead, we're still debating import licences, dollar sales, and market disputes.

I believe we should make one thing clear:

Nigeria's oil industry must first work for Nigerians.

Because if we still depend on imports after building Africa's biggest refinery, people have every right to ask what has really changed.
